Andrew Nyamayaro

Director | Principal Solicitor

Andrew Nyamayaro is the Director and Principal solicitor for Tann Law Solicitors Ltd. He is the current Vice President of the Warwickshire Law Society. Andrew is experienced in several areas of law which include immigration, family, business, employment and human rights law. He has vast experience in dealing with clients from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Andrew has done various voluntary work including volunteering as a magistrate and school governor. Andrew is a public speaker who has addressed various political, religious, social and charitable organisations on leading issues of law.

Andrew has excellent advocacy and litigation skills and frequently appears in the Immigration and Asylum First Tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal. He is skilled in preparing judicial review applications and has worked with some of the most renowned barristers in the UK.

Andrew has assisted clients with various Home Office applications including student applications; other points-based applications and leave to remain extensions. He is effective in communicating and negotiating with the Home Office. Andrew has also assisted people seeking asylum and humanitarian protection in the UK with excellent results. He has a clear understanding of the refugee convention and the European Convention on Human rights. He has helped victims of domestic violence and victims of human trafficking.

Andrew Nyamayaro was admitted as a legal practitioner, Notary Public and Conveyancer in Zimbabwe in 2000. He worked for two law firms in Zimbabwe before coming to the UK. He was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2012. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Law Honours degree and is qualified under the Law Society Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Level 2 senior caseworker.

Rumbidzai Bvunzawabaya


Mrs Bvunzawabaya has extensive experience in dealing with Immigration Law. She qualified in Zimbabwe and started her career in Zimbabwe before migrating to England. Rumbi worked for the Legal Complaints Service as an Immigration Complaints Caseworker before setting up in private practice in September 2007.

Her areas of interest are Immigration and Asylum, International Family Law, Wills and Probate. She has over 19 years of direct legal experience (3 years in general private practice, 5 years in Regulatory Law and 7 years practising and specializing in Immigration and Asylum law in England.

She is well known for being empathic, customer-focused and results orientated. Rumbi is well known for her positive outlook. Rumbi takes on hard to win cases and fights for the clients relentlessly. She worked on the MM and Ors v SSHD [2013] EWHC 1900 (Admin)case. Three individuals brought a joint challenge to the new financial provisions within the Immigration Rules (the “Rules”) namely, that a sponsor who wishes to bring his spouse/partner to the UK must earn a minimum of £18,600 or have savings above £16,000 which make up the shortfall[1]. They asserted that the financial requirements were contrary to Articles 8, 12 and 14 of the ECHR. – Rumbi acted for AF an interested party in these proceedings.

Rumbi has also acted in the case of Kadyamarunga vs SSHD /Admin/2014/301.html. This case dealt with a legacy case where the applicant was granted discretionary leave to remain. The Challenge made was based on the fact that the Secretary of State had promised to deal with the case before July 2011. Our assertion was that the applicant should have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain on the basis of that promise.

Rumbi is experienced in all aspects of immigration and asylum law. Her wide-ranging caseload includes entry clearance applications and appeals, nationality and asylum applications and applications for further leave to remain in the UK, including under the Points Based System.

Rumbi is in demand as a speaker on the latest developments in UK immigration and asylum law at Community events and you can book her to speak at your event. Rumbi has managed RBM Solicitors since it was set up in September 2007. She is now working part-time as a consultant whilst focusing on expanding the work of Migrant Family Support www.migrantfamilysupport.co.uk.

She is also an Evangelist who is very keen on spreading the message of Freedom in Christ. Rumbi is the Founder of Freedom Ministry. Facebook and Instagram. Rumbi is married to Muchada. They met at the University of Zimbabwe and have been married for 20 years. They have three children.

Bernard Mandaza


Bernard holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Laws degree majoring in International Commercial Law from the University of Northampton. He is a fully qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (CIArb). He is a registered Legal Practitioner in Zimbabwe.

With over a decade professional services experience gained in the United Kingdom and abroad, Bernard has a keen interest in employment law, corporate governance, arbitration and both regulatory and corporate compliance work. A commercially astute and naturally diplomatic individual, Bernard is a subject-matter expert on Directors duties across many jurisdictions.

Being a qualified Arbitrator and a trained lawyer, Bernard has an eye for detail, and is discretionary in analysing issues whilst upholding duty of confidentiality. He has worked in several legal capacities advising on Immigration matters in the UK and within the EU, and has a particular interest in Employment law with a bias in discrimination and equality issues. He also advocates for people with mental health issues.

Yvonne Gwashawanhu

Immigration and Public Law Solicitor

Yvonne is a well experienced solicitor. She has worked as a solicitor for several years. She is an Immigration and Public Law specialist. Yvonne has experience in dealing with the Home Office. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to her work has meant that she has a high success rate. Yvonne has appeared in the Immigration and Asylum Tribunals both in the First Tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal.

As a Public Law specialist she has done numerous judicial review applications in the Upper tribunal and the High court. She has worked with top notch barristers across the country.

Yvonne is also admitted as a Legal practitioner, Notary Public and Conveyancer in Zimbabwe.

David Liu

Employment and Immigration Solicitor | Consultant

David Liu is a qualified Solicitor registered in England and Wales. He is born in Hong Kong and raised in the United Kingdom and is able to speak Cantonese and English fluently. David entered the legal profession in 2004 and had worked in many areas of the law and understands that the most important aspect of the profession is client care.

David is a Legal Consultant with Tann Law Solicitors and specialise mainly in Employment and Immigration Law. In his spare time David enjoys hiking in the countryside and playing his guitar.

Shoba Aziz


Shoba is a highly experienced Solicitor Advocate and IAAS Immigration Supervisor with over 14 years PQE.

She specialises in Immigration, Human Rights, Deportation, Refugee law, civil and family appeals.

She was called to the UK Bar in 2002 and cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2007.

Shoba has represented many complex immigration cases and her passion and dedication have achieved her having a 95% success rate in the appeals she presents. She has worked on many high profile cases through her legal career some being the St Lucia sexuality country guidance case TK (2019) UKUT 92 (IAC) and a complex Somalian upper tribunal matter AS (2019) UKAITUR RP00024.

She regularly attends court for Asylum, Bail, Deportation, and Immigration representation for detained and non-detained foreign nationals at all proceedings in the First Tier. Upper Tier Tribunal of the Asylum and Immigration Chamber and the principle Family registry.

Shoba has an enhanced CRB disclosure certificate and has significant experience dealing with vulnerable clients including those in detention suffering from complex psychological issues, victims of torture, trafficking, sexual abuse, slavery, and unaccompanied minors.

She regularly assists clients of various nationalities, backgrounds and experiences and is empathetic and understanding to every individual need.

Shoba is also able to speak fluent Hindi, Urdu, and Sindhi.

In her spare time, Shoba loves to cook and has appeared on a few television programmes, 'A place in the sun' and 'Come dine with me'.

Mary Khattak

Trainee Solicitor

Mary is a Trainee Solicitor in our Immigration and Family Department having completed her undergraduate degree in Law and post graduate Legal Practice at Birmingham City University. She is competent in dealing with a various range of immigration matters, to include entry clearances, extensions of leave, settlement, naturalisation, first time asylum applications and appeals at both the First-tier and Upper-tier Tribunals.

She also has a keen interest in all aspects of private Family Law matters and works thoroughly to help her clients achieve the best possible outcome.

In her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends, dining out and travelling.

Muchada Bvunzawabaya

Senior Immigration Adviser

Muchada is a Senior Immigration Advisor with several years of experience. He has a wealth of experience in immigration, asylum and human rights law and has successfully acted for clients in a complex asylum, deportation and entry clearance appeal.

He is well versed with advising private clients, entrepreneurs, investors, multi-national organisations and SME’s on a full range of immigration solutions under the points-based system.

Farhana Begum

Trainee Solicitor

Farhana is a Trainee Solicitor at Tann Law Solicitors. She is due to complete her Training Contract with our firm in January 2021. Farhana has gained a BA Criminology and Law Degree at Coventry University in 2016. She then went on to complete her Post Graduate Diploma in Law at Birmingham City University in 2019. She is due to complete her LLM Legal Practice Course for Solicitors, and Professional Skills Course in 2021. She has developed a keen interest in dealing with complex situations.

Farhana currently specialises predominantly in Immigration and Family matters. She is also competent in dealing with other areas of law. She has a proven ability to provide a high level of consistency and accuracy in cases. She has also gained an extensive range of legal experience through her previous work in law firms and Citizen’s Advice Bureau.

She has had high success rates in dealing with Immigration cases such as: Entry Clearance Applications, Domestic Violence Applications, Leave to Remain applications, Settlement applications and Appeals.

Farhana has also positively undertaken several Divorce cases, Non-molestation orders, Child Contact applications and proceedings. She provides her undivided attention to each case that she takes on, and she has achieved many optimistic results for her diverse range of clients.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and she is also a member of her local kickboxing association.

Amir Ali

Legal Caseworker Executive

Amir is currently an ACILEx Caseworker at Tann Law Solicitors. Amir holds a 1st Class Law degree and is completing the Chartered Legal Executive (CLIEx) Route to qualify as a Solicitor. Amir has also completed CLIEx Level 6 Immigration Law. He has experience in Immigration and Family law. He has taken on Immigration matters which include Asylum, entry clearance, visa extensions, settlement, citizenship, deportation and appeals. He has also taken on family matters which include Divorce, Mediation, and child proceedings.

Amir likes to help people and enjoys different challenges rather than a routine day. He puts 100% effort in getting the best outcome for his clients. He has a desire to learn and will be looking at different areas of Law to progress in his career.

Outside of work, Amir enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and loves travelling around the world.

Adeeba Nassar

Legal Caseworker Executive

Adeeba is currently a Legal Executive at Tann Law Solicitors. She holds a 1st class law degree and is undertaking the Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) route to qualify as a solicitor. Adeeba’s areas of interest are Immigration Law, Employment Law, Family Law and Civil Litigation. She takes a genuine and personal interest in each case and works closely with a trusted network of specialists to ensure that clients receive top-quality legal guidance.

Adeeba practices in all areas of immigration law, family law breakdown, Employment law disputes and has had great feedback from clients for her clear and prompt approach.

Adeeba can assist with Asylum, entry clearance, Settlement, Permanent Residence, Visit Visas, Appeals & Judicial Reviews. Divorce and financial proceedings, division of finances following breakdown of marriage, disputes involving children, and domestic abuse (emergency injunctions).

Alexa Shepherd Greeff

Office Administrator

Alexa Shepherd (nee Greeff) is one of two administrators at Tann Law Solicitors. She supports the solicitors and caseworkers by performing all essential administrative duties. She has extensive experience in administration, IT training and as a Technical Author.

Alexa is responsible for greeting new and existing clients, making sure the client feels comfortable and reassured. She handles telephone calls and emails for clients and delegates to the responsible person. She conducts legal research, drafts legal documents as required, books appointments, manages solicitor and caseworker schedules to ensure the smooth running of the business.

In her spare time, Alexa is interested in current affairs, eating out, spending time with her family and walking her dogs.

Nyaradzo Nyamayaro

Office Administrator

Nyaradzo joined Tann Law Solicitors in July 2018. Her responsibilities include assistance with administration, finance, accounts, recruitment and staff management. Nyaradzo is skilled in team leading and general overview of the practice. Nyaradzo works part time-flexible with Tann Law Solicitors as she has another role within the NHS.

Nyaradzo is a mother of 2 children and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also attends local church where she is a Deaconess and Children Ministry teacher.

Her hobbies include reading, travelling, a keen walker and has a particular interest in nature and culture.

Melch Riyo

Office Administrator

Melch joined Tann Law Solicitors as an Administrator in September 2019. Previously, he worked as a Human Resources Administrator for a leading Corporate Hospitality Company providing 5-star student accommodation services in London. He also volunteered at the Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau in Central London as a caseworker.

He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree at Kingston University in 2016. He then went on to complete a Master of Laws and Legal Practice Course at the University of Law Guildford in 2018.

Melch is proficient in Employment Law, which is his most proficient area of practice. He has gained considerable experience in providing clients with a clear understanding of their legal rights and assessing the merits of the cases they bring forward. He intends to pursue a training contract, practice as an Employment, Immigration and Legal Aid lawyer as well as research in as a PhD candidate in Employment law. His legal aspirations are both academic and practice oriented.

Melch’s lifestyle is vibrant; he is a family man, fitness enthusiast and guitarist. He is also active within his Church community.
